It’s that is that time of the year when we look forward holiday traditions, both old and new. At Pikeview Manor Apartments one of our favorite things about the season is Beckley’s Annual Christmas Parade. This year’s parade celebrated Christmas Past, Present & Future with early 100 participants and impressive floats. Local high school bands played familiar holiday classics, cheerleaders tossed candy to the crowd and dancers entertained bystanders in colorful costumes. The highlight of the event is always Santa’s grand entrance in the Beckley Fire Department’s “big truck.” The parade is truly one of our most anticipated holiday traditions.
Head downtown to enjoy soup and other food vendors along with musical performances, art displays and demonstrations while supporting Theatre West Virginia.
Neville Street (from Woodlawn to Heber) and part of Heber & Main Street to the Fayette Street intersection will be blocked from traffic during the event.
Don’t forget to join us October 28 from 5:00pm-6:30pm for our Halloween party at the community building.
